Here's a little thrift haul

Summary

Let's see what JR brought home for me! Spoiler: this man cooked. What starts as "a little thrift haul" turns into an avalanche of gorgeous vintage, a reversible blanket, a 60s Julius Lewis coat with amazing buttons, a 70s suede jacket with a belt, made-in-USA shift dresses, an 80s jumpsuit, a zip-up cape, and so much more. Plus a Spongebob pillowcase from 2003 that's apparently "vintage" now, which hurts my soul.

It's a feel-good dig through the pile, dating pieces by era, gushing over the good zippers, and dreaming up which ones get cleaned up and which ones might become tutorials.

  • Outerwear standouts: a very 60s (maybe late 50s) Julius Lewis wool coat and a dope belted 70s suede jacket with faux fur.
  • Dresses galore: a fully-lined made-in-USA woven shift with pockets "for your hopes and dreams," plus an adorable button-up.
  • Eras everywhere: a Miss Raquette California skirt (70s/80s), an 80s jumpsuit, 60s/70s swim shorts with matching top, and a fully-lined zip-up cape.
  • Linens and fabric: a reversible blanket, crib-size pieces, and a bunch of cute pillowcases.
  • Everything still needs a wash, but the potential is unreal. What an amazing haul.

Okay, let's see what JR brought home for me. First, this amazing blanket, and it's reversible. Freaking love it. We got some Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse and Cutie Patootie Chic, and if that wasn't enough, so darling, these are like crib size. So is this one. And then we have this sheet, a lot bigger. Oh my gosh, this, look at him, he's a hot dog. This actually feels really gross. Then we have this gorgeous pillowcase, love it, love it. We got a little Spongebob pillowcase. How old are you? 2003. God, that's vintage. That hurts my soul. And then look at this, just so good. This is king of the something country place. Very nice. It's definitely wool. And then this Julius Lewis coat with amazing buttons, it's so good. Very 60s, maybe late 50s. And then we have this one, suede. The fur feels faux, it looks faux, but the suede is definitely real. Just a dope jacket with a belt, 70s.

Oh man. No, he really cooked today. This dress, look at her. And then, oh my gosh, this one. All this stuff still has to be washed or laundered in some form. This darling dress, it buttons up and it's adorable, it's polyester. Let me just really get excited to balance it out. And we have so much more: cute little skirt with a stretchy waist. This jacket, let's see, Talon zipper. Who made you, yank? That's cool, I can get it clean. This one, I think I can show you guys how to make these little side zips, little drawstring neck. Then we have this one, she's a little smaller, this is so cute, such a good shift, and she's like a woven fabric, fully lined, it's a made in USA. No brand on this one, look at her go, pockets for your hopes and dreams. It's very cool. This skirt, what are you, Miss Raquette, California? That's probably 70s, maybe 80s. Pretty good. Little 80s jumpsuit.

Teacher. All one piece, that's lovely, I love that. Oh, looking like a whole Gunne Sax, little handmade baby, she's beautiful. This fabric is so nice and thick, she's on a little Talon zipper, love her. Just some little train conductor britches, why not? Oh, you know, our little romper. Oh, I love this. And you think that's all? That's not all. When I tell you this man cooked today on the Cocoa Bay. Love her little smart-time house coat, it's so dainty, look at this sweet lace. A little vest, thrashed, she's got some marks on her, we'll get them clean, it's so cute, it's the most 80s thing I've ever seen in my life, I love her. Swim shorts with a matching swim top, this is 60s/70s. Oh wow, she is gorgeous, full maxi, stunning. Some cute little red pinstripe pants. It's a little cape, a little zip-up cape, she's fully lined. I can't read what tag that is. She's got her arm holes, I love her. Oh, these are cute little corduroys. Now, dress. Is that it? That's it. Good lord. How could there be more? What an amazing haul. Oh my god. Oh my god. Wow.
